About Ray Gordon

From the Garage to the Open Road

Ray V. Gordon has been riding motorcycles since he was 14 years old. Over the decades he watched the motorcycle industry grow — and he’s proud to be a part of what it has become today.

After 35 years owning and operating a successful aluminum manufacturing company in Fort Myers, Florida, Ray sold the business and figured it was time to retire. So he did what any self-respecting rider would do — he bought himself a brand new Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic.

A Problem Every Rider Knows

It didn’t take long before Ray ran into the same problem every rider with leather saddlebags eventually faces — the bags started to sag and cave in. The shape was gone. They looked worn and tired, even on a bike that was practically new.

Ray saw a need, and being the inventor and entrepreneur he is, he got to work. After experimenting with several different materials he ultimately came up with a patented bag reinforcement and lid kit that would bring his bags back to life — making them look as good as new.

It didn’t take long before his friends noticed the change and started asking for his help. Soon friends of friends were coming by and Ray found himself no longer retired — but the creator of yet another new business.

Ray still lives in the Fort Myers area. His inserts have made it across the country to anyone wanting the look of new bags and the strength the average plain leather bag couldn’t match. He’s since added a full line of straps, buckles, and accessories — making it even easier to restore your bags to an incredible new look.
