What is a Leather Lid Insert Kit?
A Leather Lid Insert Kit is a Patented ABS Reinforcement Insert that is Designed to Install into Both Right & Left of your leather motorcycle saddlebags to restore and maintain their original shape. If your bags are sagging, caving in, or losing their shape, the inserts will hold them firm — giving them back the look they used to have.
What bikes are compatible?
Our kits are mainly designed for Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, Fatboy, Sportster, and Springer models, as well as the Honda Valkyrie and All Other leather motorcycle saddlebags on the market. If you’re unsure whether your bags are compatible, call Ray at (239) 543-8360 before ordering — he can confirm your fitment directly and or have a kit cut to fit.
Are these the same as the patented inserts I’ve seen elsewhere?
Yes — Leather Lid Inserts™ holds the original patent on this design. Always make sure you’re ordering the genuine article. All of the ABS Parts will have our Branded Logo on the Inserts indicating authenticity.
Do the inserts work on brand new bags?
Absolutely. Many riders install a kit into their new bags right away to prevent sagging before it ever starts. It’s much easier to maintain the shape than to restore it after the fact.
Ordering & Shipping
How do I know which kit to order?
If you’re unsure about fitment, call Ray before you order at (239) 543-8360. He will personally help you select the right kit for your specific motorcycle and saddlebag model. Getting the right kit the first time saves everyone time and shipping costs.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship from our North Fort Myers, Florida facility within 1–2 business days. Once shipped, standard domestic delivery typically takes 3–5 business days via USPS or UPS.
Business days are Monday through Friday. Orders placed on Fridays, weekends, or holidays will begin processing on the next business day and ship within the standard 1–2 business day handling timeframe.
Please note that shipping carriers may experience delays during major holidays or peak shipping seasons, which can extend delivery times.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship worldwide to all destinations where shipping is legally permitted. Contact Ray for international shipping questions. For shipping rates, please go through the ordering process to see the complete total including your shipping rate before you hit purchase.

Installation
Can I install the kit myself?
Yes. Every kit includes Ray’s step-by-step “Saddlebag Get Ready Guide” with full installation instructions. Most riders find the process straightforward. If you have questions during installation, call Ray directly — his business card comes with every kit.
What if I don’t want to install it myself?
No problem. You can ship your saddlebags to our North Fort Myers shop and Ray’s team will handle the full installation and return them looking better than ever. Call Ray at (239) 543-8360 or contact us to arrange your professional installation.
Are there local installers near me?
We are actively growing our ADI Program (Area Dealer Installer Program) — a network of authorized local installers across the country. Find an authorized installer near you or contact Ray to arrange direct shipping or installation at our Florida shop.
Returns & Warranty
What is your return policy?
Because every kit ships brand new and cannot be resold once opened, we do not accept returns on opened items. If you believe you may have ordered the wrong fitment, contact Ray before shipping anything back — he can often help resolve the issue first. See our full Shipping & Returns policy.
Is there a warranty?
